RECOGNITION FOR RESKILLING WORKFORCE

On 30 Jan 2020, Singapore SSIA organized an event for the semiconductor industrial leaders in appreciation for their support in Professional Conversion Programme (PCP). This programme is aimed to allow PMETs to undergo skills conversion to make a career switch to the wafer fabrication industry. Mrs. Josephine Teo, Minister of Manpower & Second Minister of Home Affairs, the guest of honor, presented to SSMC a plaque of recognition for our ongoing support for the PCP.

SSMC WINS INNOVATION AWARD AT INNOVATION FORUM FOR AUTOMATION

On 23 January 2020, SSMC participated in the 17th Annual Innovation Forum for Automation in Dresden, Germany. There were over 330 automation experts. Mr. Neo presented an award winning speech titled “Open heart surgery: Replacing the MCS and introducing another AMHS in a running Fab”. The speech showcased the successful applications of Industry 4.0 in SSMC.

CUSTOMER DAY: OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

On 8 January 2020, about 150 SSMC employees gathered in the auditorium for our Customer Day event. The guest speaker was Mr. Jim Spehar, VP of R&D for NXP Business Line Advanced Analog (BL AA). This BL is the top customer of SSMC. He shared with us good insights and an overview of NXP BL AA’s Business. He also presented an Outstanding Achievement Award to SSMC for delivery of 700,000 wafers to NXP’s No. 1 Mobile Customer.
