From 4 to 8 December 2025, SSMC hosted an engaging 2.5-day programme for Engineering & Tech Programme Scholarship (ETPS) scholars. ETPS is a Ministry of Education initiative. Students described this immersive experience as “Fun at SSMC”. The visit provided valuable insights into the semiconductor industry and helped inspire the next generation of engineers.
On 22 November 2025, 17 dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers from SSMC came together to support Project 100=50 at Our Tampines Hub, helping families in need to stretch their household budgets during challenging times. Through this initiative, families were able to purchase S$100 worth of groceries for just S$50, significantly easing the cost of daily necessities.
SSMC played a key role at SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025, held on 7–8 November at Hanoi. CEO Lim Soon delivered a keynote on artificial intelligence, while Ong Eng Hui, Senior Director of HR & IT, spoke at TalentConnect session, sharing insights on workforce development and building future-ready skills. SSMC’s strong presence at the event underscored the company’s commitment to technology leadership and talent development as it scales within the global semiconductor ecosystem.
On 29 October 2025, SSMC proudly hosted its annual Transform Convention, a hallmark event that celebrates the spirit of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. Held at the Dusit Thani Laguna, the 2025 edition brought together 14 dynamic teams whose projects exemplified the company’s commitment to digital transformation and operational excellence.
In collaboration with PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, SSMC engaged students from Mee Toh Primary School in an interactive Learning Trail at Lorong Halus Wetland on 8 October 2025 as part of our environmental CSR efforts. Once a landfill, the site now protects water resources and supports biodiversity, demonstrating how technology and nature can coexist sustainably.

On 24 September 2025, alongside over 1,500 representatives from 300 companies, our leaders took part in discussions on semiconductor AI-driven manufacturing, supply chain agility and sustainability—key pillars shaping the industry’s future.
On 5 September 2025, SSMC hosted its annual Supplier Day, bringing together 100 participants from 16 partner supplier partners. The theme, “Together for a Lean & Agile Supply Chain,” underscores our collective commitment to developing a resilient, responsive and future-ready supply chain through continued collaboration and innovation.
On 15 August 2025, SSMC’s quarterly wellness initiative, “Together We Moove,” once again united employees in a lively celebration of health, movement and teamwork. The highlight was a 40-minute Dance Fit session, blending high-energy cardio, muscle toning and dance moves inspired by Chinese, Indian, Malay and Thai cultures. A showcase of diversity, health and wellness in a national day celebration vibe.
On 21st July 2025, we had the privilege of hosting Mr. Patrick Tay, Executive Secretary and Mr. Richard Tan, General Secretary, along with their team from the United Workers of Electronics & Electrical Industries (UWEEI). Over the years, SSMC has been collaborating with UWEEI and its Company Training Committee (CTC) Grant to enhance our operations and help our employees grow.

On 31 May 2025, 23 volunteers from SSMC, including employees and their families, supported Willing Hearts in preparing and distributing meals to vulnerable communities. In the spirit of the Dumpling Festival, the team helped process 300kg of food and delivered 84 meals. The activity, organised by Willing Hearts, reflected SSMC’s commitment to compassion, teamwork and giving back to society, making a meaningful impact beyond the workplace.
SSMC showcased innovation, sustainability and talent at SEMICON SEA 2025, earning the Industry Tribute Award and mentoring a student team to second place in the Young Tech Innovator Challenge. Our HR Director moderated a panel on AI-enabled, people-centric workplaces. These achievements reinforce SSMC’s leadership in shaping the future of semiconductors in Asia.

From 21 to 25 April 2025, SSMC collaborated with TSMC experts to implement Central Monitor Centre and Non-Production Wafer systems, enhancing traceability, automation and quality control. This joint effort supports SSMC’s digital transformation and zero-defect goals, with cross-departmental teams exchanging best practices in a hands-on learning environment. The partnership reinforces our commitment to automotive quality excellence and continuous innovation in manufacturing technologies.
On 9 and 10 April 2025, SSMC raised approximately $20,000 for the Myanmar and Thailand Earthquake Relief Fund, with support from 236 donors and a matching programme by management. All proceeds will be donated to the Singapore Red Cross to aid families served by community partners. This heartfelt initiative reflects the compassion and unity of our employees, especially our colleagues from Myanmar and Thailand, in making a meaningful difference together.
On 12 March 2025, SSMC participated in the SSIA Semiconductor Women’s Forum, where Quek Pua San shared her inspiring career journey and insights on leading with empathy and impact. The event, graced by Minister Gan Siow Huang and other industry leaders, reinforced our commitment to recognising women’s achievements and fostering an inclusive, supportive workplace for all.
On 12 March 2025, SSMC partnered with PUB to host 40 Parkview Primary students on a learning journey at Marina Bay Sands. The tour showcased smart water and energy technologies, highlighting the role of infrastructure in building a sustainable future. Students expressed their appreciation through creative thank-you notes, reflecting how the experience inspired them to dream of a greener tomorrow. This initiative reinforces SSMC’s commitment to sustainability and environmental education.
